At Soul Connection Counselling, I want to help you begin to restore your soul! I am empowering and compassionate about helping people along their path of self-discovery. I aim to walk alongside you. I am a clinical therapist and a registered professional counsellor (RPC), with a background in childcare, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I love everyone fiercely in their own individuality and will meet you wherever you are in your soul’s journey. I strive to take you on a healing journey while using a wide range of techniques, including CBT, meditation, mindfulness, and talk therapy to help individuals struggling with low self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression, forgiveness, and ADHD. I will walk patiently alongside you as you work through the struggles of your past. My knowledge and experience as a mature counsellor have contributed to my compassionate, patient, non-judgmental, and empathetic personality. I have the ability to understand and connect with individuals of all ages and races, and meet you wherever you are along your path.
I graduated with my Diploma in Counselling from Kelowna College of Professional Counselling in December 2022, and I am a member of CPCA in good standing. I hold a Youth Mental Health Specialist Certificate, and am looking forward to applying what I have learned to help youth ages 12+. I also work with both couples or individuals. I have my Gottman Level One, and am working towards Gottman Level Two. I first discovered my passion for counselling while being a foster-mom for 3 years. During that time, I took many hours of training related to trauma, FASD, brain development, and trauma-informed care.
My full-time job for the last 10 years has been raising my 3 beautiful children. During that time I also ran my own day-home and was a foster parent for 3 years. Prior to that that, I was an accounting associate at Walmart, and a store manager for Stitches. I am an active member in my community and am a busy Mom of three.
I grew up on a farm in rural Alberta, where I learned to love animals and the outdoors. I spent my childhood with my dog companion Buffy, roaming my family farm just outside of Meeting Creek. I moved to Camrose, where I currently reside, in 2005.
When I am not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting, taking long walks with our dog Rodger, and having family games and movie nights.
I would be honoured to walk with you wherever your path leads you.
